FRIT 7739: Collabrative Unit on Digital Citizenship for 9th Graders
The students will complete the unit in a self guided manner at their own speed and discretion. A colleague and I collaborated on administering this unit concerning digital citizenship. The unit was created using Live Binders, covering a wide variety of technology based subject including, cell phone etiquette, social media, cyber safety, as well as health and wellness. It was accompanied by hard copy assessments that were completed and graded by the collaborative teacher as part of her third quarter grades.
The colleague was especially enthusiastic in using the unit to educate her ninth grade students in the Live Binder Platform as a delivery mode. The next major unit in her classes would feature students utilizing Live Binders in a creative facet. The students completed the unit in a self guided manner at their own speed and discretion.
The artifact is embedded below is accompanied by student blog commentary as well as pre and post assessment data demonstrating effectiveness of the unit.
